In Lieu of Flowers | Tim Blavesciunas | Belleville, IL

July 24, 1980 – December 21, 2025 (45 years old)

At the end of December, 2025 and January, 2026, we began receiving donations honoring Tim. Once we found his obituary, we realized his family was gracious to ask for donations to our organization in lieu of flowers. Thank you to his wife, Ashleigh for this wonderful gift to help other grieving children, like Tim, who endured lifelong struggle after the traumatic loss of his father when he was only 6 years old.

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Timothy Blavesciunas (Belleville, Illinois) passed away at the age of 45, on December 21, 2025.

Tim spent 22 years dedicated to his career as an automobile technician at Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers. He was known for his strong work ethic and exceptional skill in diagnosing complex engine problems. With a deep passion for fixing things, especially cars, he took great pride in finding solutions and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Above all, Tim treasured his family. His greatest happiness came from time spent together, whether making memories at the lake or the beach or seeking adventure on the biggest roller coasters. Tim enjoyed building Legos and loved encouraging his kids to use their imagination and create their own designs; moments that will be forever cherished.

He was predeceased by: his father Tony Blavesciunas; and his grandmother Juanita Vanderleest. He is survived by: his wife Ashleigh Blavesciunas; his children, Jace, Kade and Josie Blavesciunas; his mother Lori Blavesciunas; his siblings, Chad Vanderleest, Scott Blavesciunas, Michelle Blavesciunas and Cheri Duccilli (Martin); his grandfather Dale Vanderleest; and his parents-in-law, Steve and Debbie Bailey. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tim’s name to the Foundation for Grieving Children, Inc, or National Alliance for Children’s Grief or an organization of your choice that supports childhood trauma and mental health awareness, honoring compassion and understanding for those who are struggling.
